About Me
Hello! I’m Tricia Oliver—an award-winning, lifelong creative, educator, and visual storyteller. I graduated from Auburn University in 1993 with a BFA in Visual Arts, with a concentration in painting. I later earned a Master’s degree in Theatre Education, which led to over a decade immersed in theatre classrooms and productions before returning fully to the visual arts.
Today, I’m a full-time visual arts teacher, working primarily with 7th graders, though I’ve taught every age from kindergartners to adults. Beyond the classroom, I’ve spent much of my professional life as a photographer and freelance artist. My creative work spans designing logos, posters, and t-shirts; painting murals and commissions; and contributing to community theatre and arts organizations as both an artist and collaborator.
I like to say I live by the phrase:
"Jack of all trades, master of none, though oftentimes better than a master of one."
Because creativity has never fit into a single box for me.
When I’m not teaching or creating, I’m at home in the life I love—31 years married, raised two wonderful children, and hanging out with my two cats (who may or may not think they run the place).
